I agree with this, NEZ would be great. If we did it on the visitor side it would take to much seating away, it would look awkward, it would bring down the excitement of the stadium (crowd noise), and for that matter it would bring down the number of premium seating. If we ever started winning what we going to say go get seating on the visitor side tables?

It clearly states that these are not the final renderings, so I am trying to give the benefit of the doubt.

I think it is a big mistake! Just put covered seating and call it a day. It would look so damn awkward.

    They are over thinking it.

Renovate the seating. Just make a really nice, covered lounge/sports bar type atmosphere up top. In fact, that would be a good motif to extend all around the stadium.

Way over thinking it!!! I would hate it if they did this to the east side! It would be the biggest mistake if they ever did. Sounds like someone experiment, please name a stadium that would have that ?

Just on top, and maybe in the NEZ.

You guys are missing the point totally. This is a slap everything up on the wall and see what sticks exercise. This isn't remotely close to what might get built. Everyone wants input and they are throwing stuff out there and asking. ......

Not if you bowl in the north end zone too.

FWIW, get ready for a lower seating capacity.

I am more down with bowling in Cajun Field, and a huge concourse level for tailgating with bar stools and tables all around the stadium with access to concessions. Build a canopy to shield the inside tailgaters from the sun, and lock in crowd noise.

You know how loud it would be if we did bowl in Cajun Field, with a canopy around it.

I know but just the thought of getting rid of the east side for that is almost terrifying! I love the idea but it is doing way to much if they did it to the entire east side.

Looks like Orlando City (MLS Team) did something similar in their stadium. They call it the safe standing terrace, and it's just rows of standing room with cup holders on the safety railings. I would be down with something similar, but dressed up like it was in the conceptual drawing. Might be a creative idea to skirt around the issue of that side of the stadium not being able to have newer chair-backs due to code issues.

Over thinking it is part of their job. They are going to throw out a bunch of ideas and keep the ones that make the most sense.

They are trying to figure out a way to best utilize the real estate inside Cajun Field. This is something Farmer gave ZERO thought to when he added the North end zone. Right now, nobody wants to sit on the East side because the experience sucks there. They are trying to figure out a way to make that experience better and get people to actually want to sit there.

Trust me on this one. We have Populous designing this thing. These guys are far and away the best guys in the business. Their name is on damn near every major stadium built in the last 20 years. They know what they are doing.

    I’d rather have OCFC’s roof.

I am thinking more like this with bar stools and tables on the concourse level, put a canopy all the way around, take out the upper deck in the picture.

Here is a picture of what I am talking about. Put bar stools and tables on the NEZ and visitor side concourse. That way students, visitors, and fans can set up shop inside the stadium. Can not bring outside food or drinks they must be purchased from concessions. Opens 9 A.M. on game days and must have a game day ticket to get in. We can show other games on the big screen at Cajun Field.

We bring the tailgating inside Cajun Field ! With covered seating we would not need tents inside.
