Ragin’ Cajuns Softball strengthened its group of outfielders with the addition of Julie Rawls, as head coach Gerry Glasco announced she is joining the UL roster in 2019.

How does a Class 5A POY in Texas end up at NW State? Glad to see she is now at UL. A great pick-up for Coach Glasco and our program.

Texas high schools are split up into different associations similar to Louisiana so it may have been one with smaller schools even though they are 5A.

There are different divisions in each classification only in the playoffs, and 5A is roughly 1500-2500 students. I am not sure about the 6A cutoff number.

2A - 105 - 220
1A - 104 and under

The other one is private schools. It is horrible athletically.

And speaking of softball, is or is she not, Chelsea Lotief, still on the roster? The roster had her listed all last year, but I did not see her as playing in any games. But as of today, she is still listed as a player on the squad.

Not sure what year she would be classified, but why do you think it’s odd for someone to remain on the roster when they didn’t play the previous year?
