With Guidry, Cajuns are #51. It will fluctuate, but it's great to see. Only G5 ahead is ECU, and not by far.

In today's college football environment, it is branding and marketing at it's basic level. I don't expect to remain in the Top 50 in recruiting, but it's certainly not out of the question to be in the 60 plus rankings after a successful season.

Selling recruits on your vision and process, and having recruits sell each other is a huge step in building your program. Those rankings mean little to the marginal college football fan, but to a staff and the recruits in that class, it's a matter of pride and basic recognition for their efforts. You don't win in any sport, without good players.
I never get too high or low on recruiting, but what pumps me up is that our recruits are recruiting.

That’s the first sign of culture change. Kids who want to be here will play hard. Kids who want to play here will have pride. Kids who want to be successful will play with passion. Good things happening

T, Mike would be blowing kisses to all if bb recruiting looked like this! When it comes to football, he's a glass half empty guy.

Sorry Mike, but its painfully obvious from your posts.

That has me pumped up too. When I saw how much Chandler Fields was recruiting for us after he committed, that got me excited and expectations for this class went up.

I mean for real....why even follow Cajuns football if this class doesn't get your motor going? I understand his concerns, hell I have all of them as well. But there is a time and place for that, and in the middle of this epic class ain't it.

Hud's best class was, what 78th? And all of his classes were on the back of a bunch of borderline kids, kids with grade issues, or backstories etc. This class is orders of magnitude better so far. Obviously we have to get them signed, and coached up. But this is the start, and it's a HELL of a start!
