    I almost decided to play football at this one university

    ...but the fans seemed liked ___holes because I (unintentionally) used one of their older logos.

    Just seems to me that we (esp the marketing) folks could be doing a much better job, given that everyone knows the struggle we have with our branding. IDK why they can't have a marketing rep help guide the new recruits in making their announcements.

    You change the culture when they arrive on campus. We don't need to and shouldn't pound recruits for the use of ULL or Louisiana-Lafayette because it's what they hear most often from their coaches, teachers and media.

    I think it's coming from printed material the kids get from UL...Anything from Accademics will be university of louisiana Lafayette, right? Athletics? Could be anything...anyone know if that's the case?

    I like that he's showing interest, but respect my decision to think that high school students broadcasting every step of their recruiting journey is ridiculous. Let's see if that list of 5 changes over the next few months.

    Academics uses ULLafayette even though it's illegal. It is a source of confusion.

    Well, there you go...coaches could do a better of communicating the athletic info

    You guys really thinking this through from a recruit's perspective?

    Let's hassle him about a name or a logo while we're trying to convince him how great his student-athlete experience is going to be.

    Step back, you guys. Take a deep breath. Think for a little bit. The world doesn't revolve around our logo or what recruits call us. (Especially since this is changing) Let's get the fish in the boat instead of nagging them about not flopping around properly while we're reeling them in.
