I'm being as honest as I can. Don't like the script period, don't like the triple fleur, do like the Swamp ours to begin with. Still to tie all swamp and script together frankly looks and sounds like a cheap version of a cheap Florida logo and field nickname.
While I’m not a fan of the tri, it’s part of the Acadiana flag.
So what? They used it for more than one season on both the gold and maroon helmets. We already have a Cajuns script helmet to go with our Louisiana jerseys. There’s way too much over thinking with this crap. Simple is better. We have an amazing logo for a helmet. We need to use it. Period
2003-05 It was their last "Louisiana" hurrah before branding to ULM.
I'm thinking one shouldn't be afraid of a shadow they crossed paths with a dozen years ago.
Ps I'm not endorsing Louisiana script on a helmet (to long, too hard to read) I'm just not buying the someone else used it argument.

The Clemson Paw Prints don't exist either. If you saw that helmet and didn't know the associated team, would you be certain it was a Tiger paw print? Even then, you wouldn't necessarily know who the Tigers were.
The FDL is instantly identifiable to Louisiana. If you want the Louisiana brand to stick, the FDL does that. Again, assume someone is totally ignorant to football. If I show them a FDL helmet and say who does that belong to, they're going to say Louisiana. Now they may not mean the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns but that's how you take ownership of the brand identity. People see that helmet when we play on TV, boom instantly think Louisiana.
The rest of the world sees "New Orleans" 50+ years of shape identification marketing has made the FDL shape the Aspirin Brand logo of New Orleans.
Even when the rest of the world happens to identify the various FDL logos with Louisiana, they are thinking; 'That State really loves their Saints..'

We need to post a survey? I am almost willing to do it, but we need to post it on a very high traffic site that takes the Cajun fans out of the occasion.
