That looks good!
Thankyou! Here is the same logo without the Ragin Cajuns at the bottom using the same hat
Just saw they posted a pic on twitter with practice unis hanging in the lockers......I really really don't like those black helmets.
Id proudly wear this one.....nice job!!
You could be right. But, I look at Georgia who copied the Green Bay "G" and it has become iconic for them. The same for Grambling. Regardless of how many FDL symbols are used for businesses across the country, athletically, ONLY the Saints and UL use the FDL as a primary symbol. Both are associated with Louisiana. Puts us in pretty good company. I see LSU, Tulane and UNO use a FDL in some form, but not as a primary, singular athletic symbol. If anything, they will be copying us as our FDL becomes iconic for our brand and accepted nationally.
The tri fleur, to me, is a cheapened version. I realize it's about individual tastes. I just find Turbine's argument flawed.
I'm not in favor of gators which rightfully belong to UF. Frankly the scripted Cajuns also look like Florida. Add the two together makes us look like a cheap copy cat. We should proudly use the Swamp in referring to Cajun Field. I find no Swamp reference to Florida football prior to Spurier reference.
Gators live in swamps, people associate them together, if there is a swamp they must have gators, and probably the most terrifying thing in a swamp. So I don't see a problem with us using it.
The script Cajuns was used by some back in the 90's. I would call it a style frankly, like numbers, or like just having a color on a helmet. Here are some that have used script in the past and present. Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Florida, Indiana, Akron, Iowa, Georgia State, UCLA etc. all had script at one time.
If you wanna be honest I be down with a script Louisiana on our football helmets which would look wonderful. Imagine this on our helmet like Indiana. I know the primary is the IU
