JMO, but I think the U and L should be the same. Where would you put a FDL? Perhaps a small FDL just above the L? Need to distinguished UL as relating to Louisiana.

Just drop the letters period. FDL on helmet, LOUISIANA on chest, and Cajuns On the nose bar.
