Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon stated that shortly after midnight Saturday his office received a complaint of juveniles playing basketball in school gym at Egan Elementary.

According to Sheriff Melancon, upon the deputies arrival, four male juveniles were located hiding in an upstairs closet. Following an investigation into the matter, two 13 year old and two 14-year-old juvenile males were transported to the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office where they were charged and released into the custody of their parents.

All four juveniles were charged with possession of alcohol on school premises; criminal trespassing and possession of alcohol under 21 years old.
