I was at that 7 on 7 pretty much all day. The best commercial ever for our program. 36 teams from La and Tx roaming through the APC and playing games on the game field, indoor facility and practice field. Great day for Cajun football.

Yep. I was there too. One thing you can say about the 2 catholic schools in Lafayette they definitely do things differently. One plays with the kids it was dealt from feeder schools. The other has kids that magically appear from all over i.e. Holstein and Senigual. Just to name a couple.

I once met an entitled douche from STM. Lannister does that make Holstein ineligible for the cajuns?

Stm has a right to be douches they are rich and actually go to a good school plus they have pumped out some good athletes

WOW, that's awesome! When was that? I would have loved to attend this type of event! Some of you know how big a Cajun Fan I am, others may not, but LIFE is crazy and has kept me on the side lines of Louisiana Athletics for sometime now. It is crazy but i have never toured the APC, EVER!

Glad to see he got an offer. Surprised a local guy would call us Louisiana Lafayette and ULL. His praise for La Tech QB development far exceeded anything he said about other offers he received.

It was yesterday. It was the inaugural 7 on 7 Bayou Bash for high school football teams, started by coach Napier. You can catch it next year at this time. I've been in that building a few times now, and it's awesome. You need to go check it out.

I am speaking specifically as of today. But if all you can point at is 2 girls basketball players, maybe 10 or 15 years ago, I rest my case. I did not grow up in Lafayette but competed against the 2 schools, I can show you players recruited in both football and basketball going back to the 87 state basketball championship.

If you go back an read my comment it just states one team is made up of feeder schools kids and the other has kids from all over. I know this because I have watched all the kids, that are Jrs and Srs now, in all the catholic feeder schools, since they were in 5th and 6th grade sports.

Not judging or stating right or wrong. With this new split thing you'll probably see more recruiting. Hell if I had to compete with U High out of BR in the playoffs I'd recruit too, as they are becoming the curtis or evangel of BR.

I got to watch him in one game yesterday. He definitely looks the part. He seems to struggle a little bit with accuracy. The thing that impressed me the most were his receivers. Several balls that were misses in most cases were turned into one handed leaping catches. If STM doesn't have the best receiving corps in the state, I'd love to see who does. They were already good before they added Carencro's best receiver from a year ago.
