Their competitive advantage is far too great for the district they play in and teams they play in state competition. High Schools are not meant to be run like collegiate athletic programs but some are and that's who gives the others a bad name.
It happens in public school just as often if not more because it’s easier to do and doesn’t stick out. Plenty of public school kids go to different schools by simply putting down a different address of who they live with. That’s what athletics has become. You habe big time colleges offering 8th graders. To me it’s worse for public school because it’s just for athletics, the kid generally isn’t gaining much of an educational advantage if any at all. Probably going backwards majority of the time just by simply changing schools. Everybody does it and they do it because of the pressure to win from the boosters, parents and fans. Win or get fired.
