So that would be postseason in 25% of his seasons then. Robe is at 50% postseason rate during his 24 years.

If we throw to the TE just 2 or 3 times during the season, and hit a receiver on a crossing route at least once, it will be a success! LMAO!!!

I have high expectations for Napier. I also agree with the majority of the posts... in that player fundamentals, the return to physicality, an improved scheme and play management, less staff issues, and less locker room issues... will be expected in Year 1. From that... I deviate a little from some others in that we have the talent to compete at 6 to 8 regular season wins... in Year 1. We have way too many people thinking about QBs and CBs... when ONLY cleaning up the lines on both sides of the ball... is 80% of the issue we needed addressed (besides good coaching).

As Napier gets in full swing with the basics... and then has a real first recruiting operation... where he'll add transfers and JUCOs to continue some gap fills... he'll push this program to an 8 to 10 win program. He isn't going to operate a "SBC median" program. We aren't going to get skull drug by any and every program ranked in the top 40.

Now... if Napier allows a criminal recruiter on his staff... gets us into NCAA violations... doesn't listen to his staff / only to himself... loses the locker room... smartasses the fans... runs a small running back into a wall that can't move the wall in front of them... counts on nothing but a running QB to get him out of jams... is content with throwing the jump ball as a passing scheme... doesn't know how to teach WRs to get separation... operates a musical chairs defensive staff... Napier won't be successful.

Just 1 New Years Day bowl in 20 years or multiple times? Conference champions once every 4 years or more often? Just curious what the overall expectation would be on how many of those instances you are talking about.

Well if he does any of those he will be gone..he won’t be here 20 years either way so not really apples to apples. Robe has built this job into where there aren’t many better places to go...Napier has a lot better places to go

I know it was only spring but I’m most excited about seeing our defenders break down, wrap up and tackle. That alone should help our defense about 10-14 less a game. Been a long time since our defense has done that..not that throwing shoulder crap

I’m telling you guys, we’re going to take some pretty significant steps back here. The momentum Hud has building for this program has been interrupted. 2018 was going to be a huge season with Hud still here.

Now, there’s just way too many question marks and instability.

Agree with it all, except the one thing, I do think we have a lack of QB talent, but Napier will fix that within a couple of years. That last part sounds so familiar, can't quite put my finger on it.

Hint, hint. It may be a tight end's coach at Miss St.

That kind of momentum needed to be interrupted. Thanks Dr. Maggard.
