Early 2018 Football Expectations Poll

I thought that if everything went perfect....injuries, etc. We could possibly go 8 and 4. Coastal game blew that up. I'm happy we are 7 and 5 with a West Division title and a shot at the SBC title. A very good turnaround in many ways.

This is a good reminder how aweful our defense was last year.... .and as frustrating it was at times this year we very much improved.

I was a bit more optimistic: I thought we'd take Troy, in addition to Arky and ulm. We should've beat Coastal, and I wish we'd taken Troy....but all things considered I am still amazed we got to where we are. Good times now, and much better ones straight ahead!

I had us beating coastal and the actual results that played out. Once we get more depth on defense we are a 10 win team in this league.

I thought 6-6 was respectable with us beating Coastal and losing to both Troy and Moanrow. Who da thunk the way this season played out. On paper ULM was supposed to really good with a upperclassman across their roster but they've been Jekyll and Hyde the past two years. That being said I'm glad we were able to keep them from a winning season (they've only had one winning season in the 18 years as and FBS)

I would guess this staff has surpassed roughly 90% of everyone's expectations for the year. I'm so excited about what lies ahead, both immediately and long-term, and feel like a kid giddy with anticipation. This is so much fun I just want to enjoy these next couple of games and just let it rip!
