32% of the 2019 being committed already seems like quite a bit to me, but with Fall signing date now, maybe that is more the norm now.

Today's Advertiser lists the top 5 high school QB's in Acadiana this year. #1 is a 6 '5" kid from Tuerlings. Says he is recruited by LA Tech, S. Miss and Cincinnati. Is UL not recruiting him? If not, why not?

Caleb Holstein plays at STM not Teurlings. Big kid. Has a good arm, needs some work on accuracy. Think he'll develop and end up at a P5 school when its all said and done. Great tools

I'd like to see UL recruit the #2 guy also. Zachary Clement from LCA. He's only 5'11 but he's solidly built, has long arms, big hands, is a tremendous runner, but most importantly, he can really throw it. Smart kid. Great multi-sport athlete. And if he doesn't work out as a QB, no doubt he could play a number of other positions. He camped at UL as an "Athlete". But the kid is a hell of passer. Exactly the type of players that P5s pass on due to lack of height, but are damn good QBs

Would not make too much of UL not offering him yet. Holstein is only a junior this year (Class of 2020) so we have plenty of time to join the fray.

Because he hasn't done anything yet. Tuerlings QB from last season is walking on at UL this fall. I wish some of you guys would spend a little time reading up on some of these kids before the next legend is born. Until he has done something with the varsity on Friday night, I'm not concerned about offering him.

Yes and he only started one year and played for Cantrelle when he was injured. Maybe this other kid will be great, but I don't care about JV video.

Maybe you should read the article he was referring to. He was talking about Caleb Holstein and mistakenly said he was from Teurlings, which I corrected in the following post.

I'm going with Coach Napier on local QB's , since he is known as one heck of a QB coach.

Where did I disparage Coach Napier? I simply said I'd like to see UL offer Clement. Maybe they will, maybe not.

Does Napier want the Holstein kid? That kid is the perfect example of area kids you got to get to stay home, if you want to dominate local recruiting. He could set a very nice trend for the future.
