Kansas State beat a Bo Lamar team in an early 70’s NCAA tournament game. As others have said, we beat the Kansas Jayhawks in GrAylin WArner’s senior year in New Orleans. Kansas blew out the Cajuns in Lawrence during the Jessie Evans years.

No but the first SEC team to travel to SFA in their 94 year history doesn't exactly make it a burning success story. There is also considerable background between the two coaches.

I don't think anyone believes it to be impossible but it certainly isn't something that any mid-major is going to do with any consistency.
