Crawfish have been bashful because of cold weather and now another snow is on the way.
Louisiana’s crawfish season got an early start before a series of frozen temperatures pushed the mudbugs back into their holes and left producers wondering if early projections of a strong crop would be possible.
Professor Ray McClain of the LSU AgCenter in Crowley confirmed the report, “The extended cold has slowed down the production of crawfish tremendously.”
