I think our close proximity to Tulane will be a negative we are going to have to overcome in the next 5years. If I were a betting man I think we end up with Tech, Rice, SMiss, TXSA , NT, UAB and a few other SBC teams as our ultimate landing spot. Not ideal, but way better than what we have now.
Shockingly Tulane would be in our corner.... polly tech on the other hand would kill their first born to see us fail

You aren't talking to the same people I am, it's not speculation on my part. I'm not suggesting that it will look exactly like I said, but that is the general concept. And the P5 programs that aren't bringing in revenue outside of conference television money because they are losing will not have a choice. We just need to position ourselves the best we can in facilities, athletic budget and academics. I have confidence that we have the right people to get us into that position. I'm not talking about the ACC or Big 12 as others have mentioned. Who knows what is going to happen in 10 or 15 years from now. What I do know is the P5 is no longer in the business of adding G5 programs to share television revenue with as those contracts are renegotiated coming up in 2023-2025.

I can tell you this much, one knows a number of the top conferences commissioners, presidents and coaches. Has been invited to a number of the Big 10, SEC and other conference championships by the presidents and conference commissioners. He has negotiated contracts for college and pro coaches and football players. And as recently as last year was invited to speak in front of 5K people at Alabama's Alumni Association. He knows Alden well and also the advertising firm hired.

I also speak to several former athletic department employees that are now working at P5 programs. When they have time to talk, we talk about the changes at UL and what is taking place in their conferences. They may not have all the information, but they have a lot more than any local media persons and certainly as much as a number of people in the know here outside of Alden, Learfield and Maggard.

Gotta love the summers around here
