It is highly likely none of the coaches or administrators with either program will be there to witness the 2025 game. Good move by their AD. When Rice fans complain about coming to Lafayette he won’t hear it from the golf course at Houston CC.

Rumor in Houston is that something was discussed for 2019 but your schedule was full. Great news on the Rice deal it is a great place to watch a game and expect a victory.

Finally, the Cajuns come to Houston. We need to be alternating each year with Rice and Houston. We need a major presence in arguably the #1 recruiting city in the country. And, we need to be playing schools we ultimately want to be in a conference with.

Just playing devils advocate...maybe that’s why it’s taken forever to schedule a game there...they don’t want someone that close in geography and resources coming into the fertile grounds...

With Houston, I doubt they come to Lafayette but a game @ Houston and a neutral site game @ Dynamo stadium/NRG or NOLA would be sweet

Some of us older fans will be lucky to be there ourselves. I plan to be well into retirement by 2025.
