No. He did not. There is no hate like he portrayed between CHNI and any Vermillion parish school other than Erath.
I love rivalries.... that's what makes sports fun!!!!
I was there the night Mike Desormeaux that "entitled douche" played against doctors recommendations, in bobcat stadium. Seeing that tough kid on his hands and knees throwing his guts up between several plays, to take his team to double over time. (If he weren't very sick there would have been no overtime) I personally hadn't lived in NI since the 80s but remember thinking who is this tough SOB. I hope bustle gets him.
slightly over 20 years ago i umpired a catholic new iberia game, one of my first games ever and maybe first varsity... i was barely two years older than some of their players, yet received more respect and courtesy on that field by all players than i have anywhere else in the country... yes sir, no sir, etc, etc. they wer very respectful, granted that was a long time ago, but it still resonates with me. i hope they havent changed, certainly wouldnt assume they have
Cousin has kids that went to CHSNI and here is how it was explained to me. Two factions there one, the legacy crowd that expects their kids to start at CHSNI because they did. Then there is the new crowd. Kids who end up at CHSNI and outperform the legacy kids. CHSNI is finally getting past the legacy mentality and it’s showing in the trophy case. Des isn’t a legacy, his dad Played for NISH.
