If the person refuses to change their ways, they are invited to join another AA group, as to not further effect the current cohesive (or remedy a disfunctional) group.
Agree... Just a thing about the buzzword... I hear it in business all the time... You have to hold them accountable.... I tell people all the time, using a&m@br as an example.... Coach O can be the most accountable SOB on the planet but if he goes 5-6 he is out... This is a results oriented bidness...

Just a personal point of preference and I like to have some fun with it

What do we realistically think of this program? Are we just another G5 baseball program? Or do we want to be considered a player on the national scene?

We pump resources into this program that other G5 programs are envious of. Hell, some P5 schools wish they had what we have. But we should just consider ourselves another G5 program that goes through cycles. Screw that. We are better than that.

The only thing we capitalized on after 2014 was a $16,000,000 renovation. No sustained success. We are right back to 2011 and 2012 as far as offensive production. We have wasted potential postseason chances with some of the best pitchers to ever come through here (Harris, Leger, Lee, Moore, Schmidt, etc). Where is this program headed? Down, up, the same level?

Don't give me the "well Robe has gotten us out of this before" spiel. I want to see us not get this program to this point.

This is not true. First there is no status quo. You are either moving forward or backward. All people (even so called “no you place” fans) want the university to thrive and max out its potential. What gets people at odds are comments like “at this point in our program we should not have down years” or we need to “hold these coaches accountable”. Really? We are in a low level conference, in a very poor state with a university that has zero cache outside of a 20 Parish area. What we have built here to this point is pretty impressive and a testament to the administration and its loyal fans. Look at our facilities minus the football stadium. Pretty spectacular if you ask me.
If UL was a person they would be a guy with a big upper body(facilities) with some pencils for legs(budget/conference). Basically we have no foundation to be consistently successful.
Everyone here has an idea on how to raise funds but the truth is we are close to maxed out in this conference or CUSA. Can we spend our way into the AAC or a regional conference with the likes of Houston, Memphis and Tulane? I doubt it, I think most people will be “show me first”. Tieing it back to this topic, building a new stadium will generate temporary interest, but it is just putting on more upper body mass. It will not move the needle appreciably in getting us out of the SBC. What we really need is what programs like Houston and others have...corporate donors to drive our budget upwards. Unfortunately, large Louisiana Corporaitions are few and far between.

They can add me to the list! Not going to keep the status quo going any more. It's time to change the way things are around the baseball program. If we want to get back to the Omaha for the first time in nearly 2 decades, ____ needs to be shaken up.

    Actually, no.

And, I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or not.

Depends on what you're reviewing. The head coach and pitching coach, yes. The hitting coach and primary recruiter, no.

I do too. Some of them don’t post because there opinion of some who participate here is not the highest. They don’t want to get into arguments with folks they don’t relate to.

This is something the previous AD would say. Heck, he said it in his press conference when he resigned. "It's not about what you have, but what you DO with what you have that counts. I just wish people would've known what we didn't have, so they can see how much we have done." No, that was an excuse for settling. Look at softball. Look at the sustained success that program has had in the past 30 years. Every. Single. Year. In baseball, we built a $18 million palace with one of the most loyal and boisterous fan bases in all of college baseball. You mean to tell me we can't sustain success in those areas? Come on, now.

If you win consistently, dominate your conference in whatever sport it may be; you can set yourself up for sustained success. Boise State has done it, Gonzaga does it, Butler does it, Cal State Fullerton does it, so why can't we? This is the exact problem that I've been talking about. CAN'T CAN'T CAN'T........ We need to stop with this attitude and at least TRY.

I find that most people who talk down to those on RP either can’t stand debating, don’t have the knowledge or just enjoy calling ppl willing to discuss Cajun sports “idiots”.

I have no use for people that can’t share their ideas.
