It’s still possible to be succsssful if it’s done right. Personally, I would prefer a private company coming in and opening a business; but whatever it takes to generate $$$$ for the athletic department would make me happy.

That's exactly what is called for in the Master Plan. Except I don't think it will be students living there. More like younger adults, and maybe retired folks. I have zero doubt that this will happen, and sooner rather than later.

Who said anything about 6 days a year? Having a hard time understanding your view point on this one.

You put franchises in and around the complex. Franchisees run the show. Just like every where else that a store opens.

Regardless of what happens in this discussion, It’s happening. There will be restaurants and retail on athletic complex property.

He has crapped on every idea that has been thrown out the past couple of days. Should change his name to crappycajun if he plans to continue in this light.

The problem is not specific to CC.
We’ve been inundated with small time thinkers, people who love the word “can’t”, people who’d rather talk about being Big Time than actually execute a plan and old guard who are infatuated with the idea of doing “more with less”.

All of that is over, whether they like it or not.

My comment to Metry earlier is case in point. The people that don’t have the guts to dream big love to laugh at those of us that do. But I’d love to see Metry go tell Bryan Maggard he’s a clown for wanting Big 12 membership.

    6 days a year?

I have heard comment from several coaches (asst coaches) from several sports and they just love Maggard and his group. The common thread is that "can't" is no longer in the AD's vocabulary, the vision is always a "yes, we will make it happen vision" and any well thought out request is now being met (little or large) with the understanding that results are important. WOW how things have changed.

Yeah, the days of "you think too big" are long over.

I wouldn't say "long over" it still feels new to me.

I will say the new vibe was long overdue.
