  2. UL Baseball UL lefty Harris goes to the Oakland Athletics in MLB Draft

    Hogan Harris on Tuesday became the first Ragin’ Cajun to come off the board in the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft.

    The junior left-handed pitcher was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the third round, 85th overall.

    No doubt. Pitchers have a different mind set and can be a lot more aggressive when they have a cushion or know that the bats have a shot at backing them up. Going out all season long knowing that you will more than likely have to keep the runs down creates a whole other set of problems.

    Hogan gets to join Wyatt in the Oakland organization. They were highschool teammates, college teammates and maybe pro ball teammates. Pretty cool.

    To my knowledge there has never been 2 UL players on the same major league roster simultaneously unless I am mistaken. It would be great to see Harris and Marks accomplish this with the A's.

    I was thinking Paul Bako, Donnie Wall, and Xavier were all in the show at the same time but I don't know if they ever were on the same team. I thought two of them were with the astros.

    Yep. Wall and Hernandez were on the Astros in 96

    Chad Beck and Danny Farquhar were Toronto Blue Jays at the same time, 2010 maybe.
