If Florida Atlantic can come back to defeat Florida, 2018 will tie 2007 and 2014 with 9 top seed hosts going down in the regional round.
Meanwhile, this season ties the record for the number of traveling non top seeds fighting their way through the loser's bracket to win regionals (3). 2012 also saw three such teams. If Florida Atlantic can come back to defeat Florida, 2018 will set a new record with four such teams.
