Thread: Cantrelle and Lott head to the Cape

Default Cantrelle and Lott head to the Cape

For those that didn't already know. Hayden and Todd are heading to play ball in the prestigious Cape Cod league. Cantrelle is playing for Falmouth and Lott is playing for Wareham (where Gunner and Hogan played).

I bet some RP posters will be keeping an eye on some of the batting stats.

Many of the guys who got decent playing time in the Spring won't be playing in the Summer. Pitchers who logged a certain amount of innings are usually shut down unless they get a huge showcase opportunity like the Cape.

No guarantees on that yet. Having said that, I believe he will be back.

Will be interesting to see what the competition levels are going to be this summer. College summer leagues are turning into 'pay for play'. The cape and Alaska are no longer free.

Amazing how a back of the bus, mid-major pinch hitter gets a Cape invite.

You don’t need those stats turbine was talking about. The systematic issue is confirmed by this action taken by robe.

This plus we finished bottom 17% SLUG% & BB; bottom 10% team batting avg.; bottom 5% team on base %. That's a systemic problem. If anyone else was game managing we would be be under .500 wins/losses.

We led the country in sac bunts and barely in the top half (119/297) team ERA. Our 57 RPI was probably the best possible.

    Don't knock "Smoke & Mirrors."

It's the secret sauce on how to score 2-runs on 1-hit.

I agree. He made the Alaska league all-star team last year after finishing the Cajun season chasing foul balls.

Here's the final year to year comparison.

The Conference Tournament took our season team ERA from 4.05 to 4.49 in 3 games.
