The FSU reliever last night had a fastball in the 70 mph range. She came in when the starter allowed two to reach base in the seventh, and I think is often a starter. Our young lady has a listed 64 mph fastball. I suspect she may reach a couple more miles with effectiveness. I don't recall what Brignac topped out at, but it was pretty fast, upper sixties or lower seventies as I recall.
As for her weight? I've never seen the weight listed on any softball player before, only height. This young woman will be hell on the batters in the circle if she can keep her mind as tough as Summer has.
I don't believe Brignac was close to the 70s. Maybe 66/67. I could be wrong!
That's exactly what I thought when I first read the story. Since when do they talk about the girls weight? " Now batting for the Cajuns at ---lbs Caraha Sorbello"........it is unheard ofAs for her weight? I've never seen the weight listed on any softball player before, only height. Brignac was clocked upwards of 72 on more than one occasion. Was fairly consistent at 67-68.
Just watched Washington softball pitcher throw a complete game 5 hitter with solo HR allowed as only run of game. She is a freshman who was on Australia U19 team last year. Hopefully lamb can be as good.
Did she win?
