Thread: Wally Pontiff Classic, 2019

    Default Wally Pontiff Classic, 2019

After hearing the same rumors as everyone else that we would not be asked back, I reached out to the WPF site and asked for clarification. This was the response I got today:

"LSU will be playing UL again in 2019. We have not secured the date yet for the 2019 game."

Good news, but I agree that we should really push for the tourney to use our correct name.

I never heard that rumor anywhere but here on RP. Coach Rob stated at the beginning of the season after the 2018 game in New Orleans that we agreed to play in the Wally Pontiff Classic in 2019 again.

Yep - and he also said that it is a good cause and we would play in it whenever invited.

They have their own internal endeavors including but not limited to supporting LSU.

Here is one listed on the website: "New Orleans' Strive Center
a nonprofit organization in which men and women who suffer from mental retardation are given opportunities to earn income and reach their potential as members of the community."

Yep. And if you read the page you can see that they call us UL at least 50% of the time.

Are you kidding?...so non-profit organizations have to be donating money to curing diseases in order to be a fulfilling organization??...what a joke you are...did you read the Mandeville Summer Camp Description...giving to a camp where kids with cerebral palsy can feel normal for a week...pretty amazing for you to downplay their generosity...

pretty amazing everything has to be an argument rather than answering someone's honest question.
i saw that, but found it odd it was listed smaller, and not under "latest endeavors"..
so do they still do that or not?
