He has a lengthy injury history - may not be playing baseball anywhere
If memory serves, the rumor was his HS coach thoroughly screwed up his arm. I don't know if that was the case that caused the lack of playing time with the Cajuns and necessitating his transfer, but either item would be a shame.
So where is Dexter Jordan supposed to be drafted?
Templet will certainly have the opportunity to win the first base job, but I'm told you may see Lott playing some first base on the Cape this summer. If true, that could make for competition in the fall and that's never a bad thing.
Lochridge will again compete with Windham. We know which is the better defensive player. But O'Neal can win that battle if he's better at the plate.
I hope Breaux is the answer in the OF, but honestly, there's nothing in his collegiate career that would indicate he's going to hit at the level we need him to. I think if Dexter Jordan makes it to campus, he will be the guy. But I'm not getting my hopes up on him getting here.
Steven Sensley played in Alaska in 2016 and won Player of the Year and Silver Slugger awards. He had .308 batting average, slugged .531 with 6 homers and 27 RBI in 38 games. He also stole 7 bases. He played in one of the highly regarded summer leagues and he was the best player on the field. I think that speaks volumes.
