I think we should look into Cannizaro or Jeff Willis as our hitting coach

I don't think Jeff Willis is an option. He is the Head Baseball Coach AND Athletic Director at LSUE. I can't see UL paying him as an assistant coach enough money to pull him away from Eunice. It is also my understanding that his wife is from Eunice and is happy to live in her hometown. You know what they say, "if mama is happy, everybody is happy"!!!!

What is the going rate for a quality hitting coach at a D1 university like UL?

We don’t need to be hiring a mid level juco coach either

I’d take Cannizaro but he’d prob be just like Deggs. Stay 2 maybe 3 years then he’s gone. I suppose we’d have that problem with any hitting coach who comes in and has success.

If Robe is making $200K, I would think $75K-100K each for the two paid assistants would be reasonable.

I think we would all agree Robe is very underpaid...IMO he should be making 300-400k. Look at the salary of the new softball coach
