Summer without sports has officially arrived. The RP ( itch is in full swing.

We were ranked #1 for a couple weeks to end 2014. Alabama football is ranked #1 for years at a time basically. Not really much of a comparison, but good try.

And where is Alabama football now? Still #1. Where is UL baseball now since that #1 ranking? Failure to make the postseason 2 straight years, a declining offense, a pitching staff pitching under too much pressure because the offense can’t produce, and a bottom 10% team offense. Alabama football reloads. We didn’t.

Has Saban had to contend with the lead weight of a new stadium build? I think not.

You do realize USL/UL was successful before Tony got here right? Mike Boulanger coached for 7 seasons at a .674 winning percentage with 4 tourney appearances. Robe is at .614 in 22 seasons with 12 appearances.

The problem is that Boulanger got UL put on probation in order to achieve that .674 winning percentage. Thus, enter Tony Robichaux.

Really? REALLY? We are bemoaning the fact that we can't keep up with Alabama football? A team who's third string is filled with 5 stars? yep robe has to go.... That Saban fellow is kicking his arse.

He does have a point that we didn’t build off of it...I can admit that...but that doesn’t mean Robe can’t or won’t make it there again...

Plus has anyone stopped to think of what College baseball was back in that time frame v now? Today there are quite a few programs that are self supporting. Revenue generators... Boulanger faced a different landscape....
