I just don’t buy the notion that we are some special program that can easily reload every year. Even the powerhouse programs have bad stretches.
Well the truth is, like Coastal, we are a unique program. Culture, attendance, geography. All ideal. We play in a conference that is good enough to not hurt your RPI, but allows teams to get on runs in the middle of the season. I’m willing to give the new ballpark some time to actually bare fruit, but regardless, we play in a top flight ball park in America. We have an excellent reputation in college baseball, on the field and off he field. Our fans travel and do a very good job of it. We are the top supported baseball program in America (not named LSU, Florida, or Texas) from a media standpoint. I could go on..

Are we going to come up short from time to time? Everyone does. Should we not expect to be a contender for league, regional and super regional championships every year? Based on everything above, you bet your ___ we should.

My point in bringing up the life lessons coaching style is what I believe is taking priority over executing on the field. Therefore, it is very relevant.
Just curious...Weren’t you the poster who threw all your support to baseball when the Hud/ Trump mess went down?...something like you only wanted to support programs that were ran clean???....apologize in advance if I have you mistaken...

Take a look at this. This is comparing to half a dozen teams that should never be in postseason play. Not teams that we are aiming to be. Very concerning and no one should feel like their job is safe.

In 2015 we followed up our '14 SR appearance (one of the best seasons in NCAA history for any team) with another SR appearance and then hosted a regional in '16. Here is hoping that we get back on track with that "trend".

"Failed to capitalize"..... you should come check out the new ballpark.

Well from a fan who just donates, attends and listens to games with no access to factual inside info...I’d say hitting HAS to improce...what needs to be done to make that happen...I don’t know...I trust the man with 1,000 plus victories to have more of a PROFESSIONAL take on what that will take...

I was done with Hud for more reasons than just that. It may have been the last straw but I wasn't raising hell for the Trump issue alone.

The half empty one this past weekend because the team was that difficult to watch? Yea, I have the uber receipts from midnight Wednesday, 2:30am Thursday and midnight Friday.

Look I don't think some of you are understanding that down years and bad baseball are two different things. This year we were bad at baseball. That is never acceptable. We gave games away. We disappeared for 7,8,9 innings at a time. We let sunbelt middle relief no-hit us for prolonged stretches. Not just once, a lot. G5 down years happen. The bad baseball part is what makes you different from app st.

We've had similar discussions in the past. Since the Super Regional format began only 15 teams out of approximately 300 have been able to achieve that feat. Definitely a great goal to aim for but "zero excuse"? By the way four out of the last six years is pretty close to what you are asking for.

Look at these records....specifically 2011 and 2012...are you saying Coach Robe doesn't know how to right the ship?

I agree to an extent, and when I say 4 out of 5 years, I mean regional expectations only. Of course, I would love super regionals and CWS mixed in, but I am realistic and this is college baseball. Also, I stand by my statement of “no excuses.” We shall see what happens this off season.

He righted the ship by bringing in Deggs. He needs to bring someone else in ASAP.

My major concern with the program is what happens when Tony does decide to retire......
