Yeah, I think mentally tough is not the most accurate phrase. Mental toughness comprises many things. What we are talking about is attitude which is a subsegment of overall mental toughness. I think our guys were resilient this year, but did not have a alpha/killer attitude and instinct. We have a lot of quiet nonassuming guys.

You did not see many dominating performances. We were good at outlasting opponents, but when our opponents turned over onto their back and showed us their throat, we didn't take it. You didn't see any of our pitchers get a big strikeout and stare down the other team. You didn't see our guys hit a bomb and stare down their pitcher or dug out. These little things are small, but are the characteristics of teams that will rip your throat out when they get the opportunity.

The thing about getting rid of Robe is you will have to not only find an Ace of an replacement now...but do so every 3-4 years if they're successful...Robe is unique in that he hasn't and most likely will never look for a "bigger" job...going to have to hit the lottery every hire to maintain what hes done over his career here at UL...

I don't want him gone...I want him to do his job and stop hedging his bets until the season is beyond repair. If he cannot do that...Lotief him.

I never said get rid of him that is ridiculous, but he needs to be held accountable for subpar seasons. People on this board think he can do no wrong and those that say anything negative about him are idiots.

I don’t want him fired, but that sounds like the recipe for a very bad relationship. He’s gonna be gone at some point and if that’s all we have to look forward to, we are in trouble.

It’s a bad recipe having a successful, tenured coach who is still relatively young on staff??...that is 2 years removed from great success...and has had a hiccup for 2 consecutive seasons, one including a conference championship without his all-American??...yeah, maybe it’s time we put him out to pasture...

How many ____ing times do I have to say I don’t want him fired. With that being said, NO ONE should be using the fact that he won’t look for another job as a positive thing.
