What responsibilities does Bab have outside of scheduling and travel? Not meaning to be negative or positive. Just curious bc it seems other coaches cover the rest that I知 aware of.

Well this has come full circle. Several days ago on this thread Robe was being paid too much and was looking toward retirement, now he is not being paid enough. Sounds like he is where he needs to be salary wise. Now all we need is a hitting coach and we are set. I like that no rash moves are being made here. In the end our opinions mean very little, it is the coaches and players thoughts that matter. I think the exit interviews are crucial in seeing where the program needs fine tuning. I would expect some changes in the coming weeks.

Re Deggs, I hear he is a candidate for the Rice gig. So is Lance berkman, one of the Cruz kids, and possibly others.

I'm pretty sure he is also heavily involved with recruiting and some of the on the field coaching.

I would think he does more than you listed based on the fact that a strong majority of former players love the guy...not saying I知 right...just a guess...

He's gotten better as a recruiter, especially after he didn't have to do field maintenance. He's the main reason we are at the top of the league every year on defense. He's considered to have an excellent baseball mind and does a lot of in-game coaching. And, I personally like the way he has run the team the times Robe hasn't been around. I also like him better as a third base coach than JT.

Bab is a very good "behind the scenes" type coach. And yes, his third base coaching skills have been impressive. Notice how every time he has taken JT's spot at third base how much our hitting improved (Ex. Tulane game in Nola).
