What do you mean hold accountable? Like public shaming in the town square? Shave his eyebrows? Tie him up and tickle him? He answers to his boss and unless you were in the room you have no idea what was discussed. Who you think made 2 winning seasons subpar and “unacceptable”? He did

What we do for any coach who doesn’t meet expectations. We voice displeasure, consider withholding support, etc.

There’s a separate thread about the perception of our athletic program. In it, ULVictory identifies a reasonable expectations for baseball as regional appearances every other year. Even Metry, a self identified LSU football fan and casual fan of other UL sports, agrees with ULVictory’s expectations. Right now, the baseball program isn’t meeting that expectation. There’s a chance to correct it. But does Robe make the tough decision about JT or does he bring him back again? The silence is deafening right now. And prior history says JT leaves baseball before he’s not brought back as hitting coach.

The most successful football coach we ever had was run out of town making a bowl game in 5 of his 7 years. Why was he run out? He wasn’t meeting the expectations of the fan base the 3 years. We wanted more than to be a 4th place Sun Belt football team. Right now, I’m feeling the same about UL baseball. I’m wanting to be more than a 5th place Sun belt baseball team with the resources being placed into the program.

Bullsht, huds leash would have been a lot longer without all the off the field stuff. If he was Ricky bustle with those exact results he might have been here 20 years. The man lost his stud pitcher off the bat, he lost another starter for 6 weeks, lost his starting catcher and probably best bat in the 4th inning if Game 1. 2 true freshman at 3b and SS and fell a little short against what 4th toughest schedule in the country? Maybe 5 cia he’s in the country gets that team to do what it did. The season hasn’t been over a week...sorry if Robe is taking a little too long for you to make a life changing decision about a man he has worked with for 4 years. I’d love to know how many of you get to go around firing people at your jobs. Let the ___ play out. A lot of assistant coaches are still coaching...64 teams worth...unless you rather us hire a hitting coach from the other 230 plus teams?

You do realize USL/UL was successful before Tony got here right? Mike Boulanger coached for 7 seasons at a .674 winning percentage with 4 tourney appearances. Robe is at .614 in 22 seasons with 12 appearances.

Excuses excuses excuses. A life coach would tell you not to use excuses

Thanks and boo hoo to the 5 or 6 AD's and coach extraordinaires on this board. Let the man with 23 years experience make his on bed. He has proven to be pretty good at it. I believe he knows more than we do and this board has aptly set out its displeasure wth JT. But it's not our call.

How I got labeled as either of these things is baffling to me. My wife, kids and friends constantly make fun of me for following UL to the degree I do. I am routinely called an LSU hater. Sorry following UL on my phone while my daughters soccer team watches LSU at the restaurant makes me a sell out. Maybe this year My family will stay in the hotel by ourselves watching the Cajuns on My laptop while the whole group goes to dinner to watch the LSU game. Then I could regain my Cajun bonafides.

Except for losing his "stud pitcher" everything I quoted from your post is true.

Under no set of circumstances was he ever going to "have" his 2017 stud pitcher in 2018. His stud pitcher knew.

Due to an unfortunate set of events (for the 2017 stud pitcher) he will have the stud pitcher in 2019.

Other than that non factor (this year) every other obstacle you named that Robichaux and Co. amazingly overcame is true.

I still don't know how he did it.

Yeah things haven’t changed at all in college baseball. Very well aware, my brother played here for Boulanger but appreciate the history lesson.

So you know more than tony and gunner about the situation? Even after he was hurt and decided to come back, they still thought he would pitch this year..post surgery.

God bless you. I seriously belted out several laughs, while in a meeting.
