“We didn’t pitch good enough for our offense,” Cajuns coach Tony Robichaux said.
“You can’t give up 8, 9, 10 runs and expect our offense to come from behind like they did in game one.”
What does our pitching have to do with our offense. So our pitching gives up 8-10 runs. We come to bat facing the opponents pitching not our own. You stay in the game matching runs if you get behind. I guess Robe is saying that if we get behind our pitching goes in a tail spin and can't recover.
Our pitching could have given up 3-5 runs and it still wouldn’t have been enough.
Let’s get away from good pitching, good defense, and timely hitting. Let’s go back to great hitting, good enough pitching and defense. The years we had great offenses were some of the best teams this program has had.
If Scott Farmer was still our AD, we wouldn’t have half these issues. But some of you can’t be happy and appreciate what we have.
We had one hit in the last game, a McKinnon bomb.
