However after a 3-year batting average slide, who the hitting coach is (or is not) becomes "major" news and garners major interest.

When Napier was filling out his staff, fans did a minute by minute watch of who his next, next, next ... assistant would be.

Comparatively speaking several of Napier's hires would be less impactful to the FB team than hitting coach is to baseball. Still it didn't prevent widespread "interest" until his staff was full.

At this moment in time, hitting coach at Louisiana a major hire.

Lack of concern is the definition for the word apathy. Apathy is the last thing this baseball program needs. But it looks like that's what you want. Let's not concern ourselves with what is or isn't going on right now with baseball.

On the flip side, let's not get excited when there are good things happening before the outcome is determined. It won't change the outcome to get excited either.

Have to disagree. Not being concerned isn't synonymous with apathy. It just isn't. Not being concerned isn't not caring which is synonymous with apathy.
