First you you seem to think he would have not been drafted as high as 3rd round hitting .180, placing great value on his obvious defensive skills.
30 minutes later you say he would not have been drafted at all, which I agree with. At the same time, if he fielded like any other Cajun SS in the past decade, he would never been drafted either.
BT was not put on Team USA, or drafted because he could "mash". Stevie Wonder could see that.
If you are playing college ball, you are a gifted athlete or have played countless hours so I'm sure you can make 99% of the catches you need to. That's why scouts really don't pay close attention to it because it's so routine. It's the ones that can hit are the ones who separate themselves and make the show.
