Let us look at Blake Trahan who was great in the field, but you think he would have been drafted in the 3rd if he batted .180 instead of .320

According to you, if Blake hit .180 he would never been drafted because scouts don't even look at fielders.

First you you seem to think he would have not been drafted as high as 3rd round hitting .180, placing great value on his obvious defensive skills.

30 minutes later you say he would not have been drafted at all, which I agree with. At the same time, if he fielded like any other Cajun SS in the past decade, he would never been drafted either.

BT was not put on Team USA, or drafted because he could "mash". Stevie Wonder could see that.

LOL!!! The only parking concern I have is to avoid another foul ball. A few years ago a foul ball hit the roof of my car and caused a slight dent!!! LOL!!!

The question I asked was hypothetically speaking if BT batted .180 through 2015 would he still be selected in the 3rd round based off his fielding ability... my answer to that is no

BT batted .320 in 2014 & 2015 a was the main reason why he was drafted in the 3rd round.

But a player has to show some ability in the field...if you can’t break the defensive lineup in college at all, no amount of coaching will make you a pro defender. Your bat better be one of the best to ever step in the box.

If you are playing college ball, you are a gifted athlete or have played countless hours so I'm sure you can make 99% of the catches you need to. That's why scouts really don't pay close attention to it because it's so routine. It's the ones that can hit are the ones who separate themselves and make the show.

Well i was in Austin and watched a routine fly ball land at his feet. Sensley was a defensive liability and still found his way onto the field.

My wife caught a foul ball with her door when she opened it. Inside side of the door. No damage.

A second sooner (opening the door) and it could have been her head.

Instead it was fun.
