Good thing is, more often than not we have the schedule to make it happen.
Ignoring the other problem for a moment...
Perhaps Wells will be only a band-aid. I choose to be more optimistic.
Having said that what would you think is the more optimal option?
You don't think Wells was the best option as hitting coach, clearly. Do you know of any better hitting coaches Wells beat out for the job?
Put on your Dr. Maggard hat. What do you do to fix the situation?
I appreciate it. I'm not going anywhere, but reassessing what I wanted to do as a poster here in the first place. Getting caught up in the insignificant squabbles and attempting rationale discussion with people just trying to vent, then becoming frustrated, took away from my original purpose.
The unknown that worries the most is what has been our strength of the last 4 seasons. A stout weekend pitching rotation/staff. Leger, Lee, Harris, Schmidt, Guillory, Marks, Moore, Stoelke, etc over the last few seasons. The backbone of this program doesn't look promising.
We knew what we had coming back for 2013 after 2012. Yea 2012 was the worst year under Robe, but expectations were high heading into 2013 despite 2012 and they lived up to it. The foundation was laid for the future. 2015 turned out to be ok thanks to a Trosclair grand slam in Troy. We don't beat USA in the championship game, it's no postseason, which actually would have been ok in my book. Even before regional play, 2015 was arguably one of Robe's best jobs considering all that was lost after 2014.
Optimism was high? We won 23 games, got swept by ULM and ended the season getting beat 17-0. We hired a guy who had issues and had been out of coaching. Go compare those 2 rosters, you are misremembering...nobody knew or expected what was about to happen and anybody that says they knew what was coming is a liar.
We still don’t know what next year has in store..good or bad. We have a new hitting coach and major roster turnover that everyone said lacked talent. Some key pieces returning..sounds awfully familiar to 2013 and last years team was a whole lot better than 2012.
Every year brings on unknowns. It is why we watch. If we knew what would happen why would we even show up for games? UL brings in many highly touted players every year. Some make the leap, some don’t. The roster is continuously being turned over. I think even average hitting will make us a force to be reckoned with. Can’t wait to see the changes.
I’m just thinking that a lot of people wanted to hear Robe say we’ve been struggling at the plate. Im making a change, and that change is ......
That’s not Robe’s style. We’re gonna be lucky to see a change period.
Man seriously.. who is worried about the parking? I mean cmon..
