Yep. I know some that are in the dark about this. It would be nice if the Athletic department would make some sort of official announcement. After all, we all know that we can believe EVERYTHING we read on internet message boards. Right?

There is an actual job listing someone posted earlier. It doesn’t take Ace Ventura to solve the mystery. As you all are fully aware...a state employee just don’t get hired overnight. It’s a process. And if I bet my last dollar...the short list search was probably on and done with before the job was officially listed due to the fact they wanted the right guy. The job has to be open for a certain amount of time bf they can make an announcement

See that’s where I’ve already called BS on that. Hudspeth was fired December 3. Napier was announced on December 15. Nothing was ever posted and it never met the 30 day requirement. It’s already been posted here that Wells is hired and working. If this job was just posted, then he hasn’t been hired. Or we are hiring another assistant. Probably because Bab is moving out of the dugout and into the front office.

Never seen a real committed Cajun fan intent on blackballing their own program over a demoted assistant coach.....in the off season 7 months prior to season; that literally everyone knows is being replaced for weeks now; whose replacement chosen known for days now after a very discrete search; Whilst several involved in the transition are on preplanned vacations AND and a public release is scheduled within a week.

I appreciate the effort you and a few others have attempted to utilize logic in your posts, but logic obviously does not work with people who have agendas. Probably best to not engage. Thanks for the information you’ve given. I for one am looking forward to the shift in the makeup of the team.
