If everything is in place, why not put out a press release? My god, are they that difficult?

If you don’t seem to think it’s a big deal, why do you feel the need to keep chiming in to defend this?

To the stakeholders in this program, it appears that the status quo continues.

If you think it’s such a big deal then a press release won’t do anything right? Irreparable damage has already been done. The handling of this entire deal and not getting rid of JT is recipe for failure so what are you worried about it? What’s done is done. I am a stakeholder in this program and Jake Wells is our new hitting coach...doesn’t appear status quo to me...or the 40 people I talk to on a daily basis that are very big stakeholders. Im not defending it, being rational.

To all you defending Robe/Maggard, all people want is a simple announcement. That’s it. Why have we gone over 50 days since the end of the season with this BS ? I mean what program does this ? You’d think we go to supers or Omaha on a regular basis with all the “secrecy” here. It’s a new assistant coach being hired. That’s all it is. This program is on a two year skid with declining offensive numbers over the last 3 years. Season ticket holders deserve better information for what we pay for. As for me, I’m giving this program one more year.

I’m worried about the investment I’ve been asked to make in the baseball program to improve it has not been matched by the man who is paid to run it. This whole thing screams small time program. Are we a big time program or just another small time program that finds magic in a bottle every couple of seasons?

This program is supposed to be one of the ones that can contend for a national championship. We can’t even contend for a Sun Belt championship the last two seasons. And the outlook for 2019 is not very bright, even with Wells leading the offense.

an article on www.ragincajuns.com is gonna change all that? Teams of every level are making coaching moves every day. This isn’t abnormal. Sounds like you either already checked out or just looking for a reason to get off the train. Everybody wanted a new hitting coach, we got one.

It's over. We all know who the hitting coach is.......which means there was a discrete new coach search happening the past few weeks. The situation has been fixed. Stop the damn whining....when all key parties back from summer vacation it'll be publicly announced. Not sure why you need to get your pannies full of additional tread marks. You should be relieved its reached an end.....unless you are a troll and your intent is to be an _______.

Good Grief, it is obvious that there will be a new hitting coach. It is probably that they are going through the hiring bureaucratic BS required before announcing the hire. I think we need to just calm down a little and give this time to play out.

Realistically, hiring an assistant coach for baseball is not a deal where you normally have a lot of publicity on a national basis anyway.

We have a new hitting coach. Everyone on this board should know that by now.

The complaining is because there isn't an announcement fitting the timetable of some.

I'm not buying anything about the fan base freaking out.

As soon as the hire is announced, we go back to looking forward to 2019.

It doesn't matter how many days it's been. It matters that we get this right. From a hire standpoint, from a compliance standpoint, from a legal standpoint, from an HR standpoint.

    We have a hitting coach.

There's literally SEVEN months until the season starts. Who cares when, or even if, a baseball assistant coach hire is publicly announced?

Are some going to not renew season tickets until this is made public? That's pretty stupid considering even if it was made public, I'm guessing that 0% of those people would even know who Jake Wells is.
