We have missed post season 2 years in a row..the expectation of a successful 2019 season is there regardless. Expectations and excitement aren’t the same thing. “Better be a great season coming up” is the sentiment regardless of who is standing on 3rd. If we fail to make post season with Jake Wells it won’t sit with the fans any better.

You’re right...Has any share holder reached out to the heads...respectfully...and asked for an update inregards to future of the program before they invest any further?...or just vent everywhere but to the people that matter?

No im being rational, he is the guy and they haven’t announced it yet for whatever reason and Maggard hasn’t given me any reason to believe he is incompetent. The stance you are taking is that he is incompetent and hasn’t announced it yet because he is an idiot who doesn’t get it. I’ll choose to believe he has a good reason until he proves otherwise.

The comparison is silly, but after the last 3 seasons decline, hitting coach is extremely important.

This feels like a coach leaving the pitcher in too long with the bullpen being in a secluded area behind closed doors.

Just because some know it's JW makes the fact that UL isn't even officially looking for a hitting coach seem like an operations snafu.

Or they need to put the other guy in place that has 20 years in the system and can’t “hire” the new guy until that’s done since you are only allowed so many paid assistants. Again if the 4th assistant was passed or we fired someone the announcement would have been made already.

If you don’t think he says when and where things are announced you don’t know the guy, he doesn’t stay behind the curtain like the previous AD. This is his athletic department and he runs it.

Worked out there for 10 years and I have never seen a UL coach... Not saying he was not there but it's just weird.

I have been going there for over 15 years and I have seen several cajun coaches and other staff members at the facility at various times. Got some info about the basketball transfer there a couple of weeks ago from one of them. At the time they were still hoping for the guy from Fresno but felt the St. Louis guy was also a possibility and they are very high on him as well. Obviously I could not share that here until this week. If Wells was at Red's wearing a Cajuns baseball shirt, it confirms he is coming on board. No idea why official announcement has not come as of yet and it is not important now since most baseball players are not in summer school. Football and basketball players are however.
