The guy has reached out to players, he was seen in Lafayette with a Cajuns shirt on and another coach, everyone I've spoken with said it was him. They just haven't announced it yet. At this point i wouldn't doubt if Maggard is doing it on purpose for shts and giggles. I would
Wrong, they haven't even told a totally demoralized fan base that they are looking to improve.

I may be wrong but I don't think Maggart is the boddle neck. This off season of silence and buzzkill defies logic.

Another drama queen..totally demoralized? Really? Because we didn't fire anyone. There was nothing to say. And it's Maggard not Maggart. We picked up a few commitments just this week, they don't seem to be worried about it.

There has been more news about adding a 10th football assistant that getting a qualified hitting coach.

Kinda like if the NCAA would have approved a 4th paid assistant for baseball? We would have our announcement already if that were the case.

As a season ticket holder, the fact that we are roughly 50 days from the end of the 2018 season, I see this as a big F U to the fan base. Like, we’ll announce or maybe we won’t. That’s a very large bill to pay with this renovated stadium to keep stringing people on. I’ve heard all the excuses as to why this has taken so long but we’re now sitting in late July. I’m not buying all the protocol BS at this point. Better be a great season coming up.

The announcement should have zero to do with work in motion.
The ole "work while you wait" thing.

An announcement won’t change expectations for the 2019 season. Jake Wells is our new hitting coach.

I have never seen a good coaching hire fail to move the needle.

If what you say is true, it will be the first time ever that a coaching hire was a neutral event.

We have missed post season 2 years in a row..the expectation of a successful 2019 season is there regardless. Expectations and excitement aren’t the same thing. “Better be a great season coming up” is the sentiment regardless of who is standing on 3rd. If we fail to make post season with Jake Wells it won’t sit with the fans any better.

Also, you didn't answer my question. Why should there be an announcement for any coaching hire? Just let everyone guess until we see who's on the field, right?
It is not hearsay JW IS our hitting coach. I know this for a fact and I do post here.
