For all of the conspiracy theorist, I think you can calm down a bit. I don’t have any information to what is actually going on in this specific case. But in my dealings with other schools I know some schools already know a coach that is getting hired but have to wait for NCAA to officially approve the 4th paid coaching position before they formally change their title. Most likely the case here. Just a guess, but would make sense to me.
Well, I am hardly a conspicary theorist, but what little info we have did not seem to add up. Not sure I totally buy into the NCAA angle, but that seems to make the most sense so far. I guess my question is not so much that the school/coaches could know, but this new person reaching out to students before the announcement, and especically before the NCAA approval, still seems very odd to me.
Was just a guess, but do know that is a very real thing on the Sam staff right now.
Well I might be missing it, but in recent years our high school players have not exactly be all that at the Division one level. Cantrell is the best I recall in the last four years, and it took most of the season for him to finally become the consistent hitter. I'm talking offense, we have had plenty of golden glove candidates. We either are not developing those players, or they were lacking something.
It was a joke dude. Chill !! I was referring to Perrin and Batty who are soft throwing lefties and that's all good and fine. As for Cooke, Stone, Joffrion, Black, and Schultz, I have no clue about these kids but I sure as hell hope they're all studs capable of making a difference. God knows we need it. Gunner can only throw one day a week, Burke hasn't made it through a full season healthy yet, and the guy from TCU hasn't put on a uniform yet so all these new arms are going to be very much needed.
