So, by my casual observance, there are ~4 of you guys that seem very certain, and in the know, that we are getting a new coach: MAT, CajunMike, CajunRef and talktomewillis. I wonder if you all have the same info: if you all believe it is the same guy, and that you all believe it will be this week.

I have no clue who the hire is, or if anyone has been hired yet, but I do know that a hitting coach search has been underway this summer. It's safe to say that JT will not be the hitting coach.

No one posted on here that Riser was being hired. They posted he was seen on campus. As far as Wells, there has been implications that he is the hire. We learned from the football coach search that nothing is official until announced, but I think it is safe to say we will have a new hitting coach.

For a very sustained amount of time, this message board has been proven right on many “rumors” that no media reported on. Of course, RP hasn’t always been flawless, but if you read here fairly often, you know who is plugged in. Roug, sitter, Lanny and Grad16 have all been getting good info on this situation as well, judging by their posts. And no, we do not share the same “sources”.

I am surprised it has taken this long, but in the end we will get a new hitting coach. I personally have no idea, since so many names have been leaked out. Much like Napier has brought optimism to our football program, I think this move will do the same.
