Matt Riser was on campus Monday of last week visiting with the Compliance staff so take that for what it's worth.

Riser just hired two new assistants within the last couple of weeks. Doubt he's leaving SLU.

If he truly was (and there is no reason to doubt what you are saying) then I cannot think of any other reason why he would be here. But maybe i'm missing something.

I would think they would be an essential part when inquiring about a coaching offer.

Or Ron could have been taking him on a tour of Campus and stopped in to talk to a friend who knows?

Yes, that is my point. He wouldn't have met with the compliance folks if he was just meeting up with Ron R. About the only reason I can think of for him to meet with compliance is discuss job offer. So whether he hired two people or not is not really relevant. Seems to me that he was still in the running for a job here at late as last week.

So, by my casual observance, there are ~4 of you guys that seem very certain, and in the know, that we are getting a new coach: MAT, CajunMike, CajunRef and talktomewillis. I wonder if you all have the same info: if you all believe it is the same guy, and that you all believe it will be this week.

I have no clue who the hire is, or if anyone has been hired yet, but I do know that a hitting coach search has been underway this summer. It's safe to say that JT will not be the hitting coach.

Certain, but I've read that we were hiring two different hitting coaches. Wells and Riser.
