You threw out a couple of batting averages and decided he wasn't good enough. Yes truly vet the candidates on all of their pros and cons not just batting average. Take into account run production, on base percentage, slugging, recruiting, the interview etc...no matter who that person is or what name they carry.

I gave you his OBP and I'm asking is this the best possible coach we can hire. IDC if the guy goes to church every Sunday or sacrifices goats on the weekend I just want a guy who can coach hitting well.

These guys don't need to be taught hitting. They need to be left tf alone to use whatever hitting they're using on their own (see Lott in Cape Cod) and be taught how to mentally approach situations. In other words, the hitting coach needs to create bulldogs with swagger and get tf out of the way.

Didn’t bother deggs teams, it’s about buy in. You have to want to bunt when called upon. 13’-14’ trans hit bombs and dropped down bunts 1-9. Give up to go up. So much is about mentality and approach. If the guys at the plate don’t trust the guy on third nothing works.
