    Majority of La techs guys were Juco Transfers when he was there so many of these guys were not there for 2017 & especially not 2018 .. You can say he is a good recruiter, but Talbot will handle our recruiting.

    The problem is you just looking at a couple numbers and this guy become “the best we can do” regardless of how much you hate them he was part of taking a latech baseball program that had done absolutely nothing and made them relevant. He has been a part of a Mississippi State team that made the finals in Omaha. It’s not all about average, they scored 100 more runs...give last years team an extra 100 runs and see where they end up. I guess if you are inherently negative you can find something wrong with every candidate. You can have more than one guy recruiting players. One is just the coordinator.

    I was worried an RC burned a coaching spot but found out it does not .. I will be happy with any movement I just like to vet every candidate because this is an extremely crucial time for the athletic department.

    And you don’t think the people that have jobs on the line are vetting the candidates? You weren’t “vetting” the name didn’t excite you so you grabbed a couple numbers and went to “this is the best we can get.” No matter who the hire is you can find a point or spot or stat to be negative about if that’s what you are looking for.

    "a couple of stats" aka his job description also the job is not his yet. Many are still interviewing and hopefully, the admin takes a look at all each one of them stats.

    You threw out a couple of batting averages and decided he wasn’t good enough. Yes truly vet the candidates on all of their pros and cons not just batting average. Take into account run production, on base percentage, slugging, recruiting, the interview etc...no matter who that person is or what name they carry.
