Why would Riser leave a head coaching position to be a hitting coach somewhere else? I get it's a step up in programs, but not a huge step.

I have no info just thinking out loud. Maybe coach has told him that he only wants to coach a couple of more years and that riser will be the coach when he leaves.

Anyone care to explain what kind of upward mobility he has at SLU? In other words, is he paralying that gig into a head coaching position at Maryland, for example?
