I didn’t box anyone in, is this about getting a new hitting coach or just wanted to see talbot fired. If it’s just about getting a new hitting coach then i think everyone will be happy.

Do y’all have some personal vendetta against Talbot? Or do you just want a new hitting coach?

Perhaps it's just me but as soon as I saw your question I could see where it might lead to other find fault with JT observations even though only hitting was of concern previously.

I just posted that I am in favor of keeping JT on staff in a recruiting role..

JT was hired in the Summer/Fall of 2014.

JT recruited Nick Lee, Hogan Harris, Dylon Poncho, and Todd Lott in addition to having a hand in Handsome Monica. At least that is what Robe told the DA.

Other mentions are Johnny Rizer who plays for TCU and Steven Sensley.

I understand recruiting starts early, but I mentioned him being a good CLOSER. He signed those guys.

JT was also known for being a great recruiter for Texas A&M. He got them at least one Top 10 ranked class (I think 6).

Please point me to the proof that all he did was mail out the paperwork to sign those guys.

I agree he is a good closer, not perfect. Deggs also got a commitment from JUCO All-American Nolan Brown, who ended up at TCU, not here, after JT took over.

His skills evaluating physical talent and make-up are very questionable.

I replied to, if he isn’t in charge of hitting what else would he do. You are correct in that hitting was only concern and if he isn’t in charge of hitting what’s the problem.

I know, I’m saying i don’t think an assistant should have %100 autonomy over identifying and targeting every player. In this case definetely not all the pitchers.

That comes with a caveat though....... our head coach has been shouldered with an extra burden over the past couple of years of getting a new stadium up and running. Not an excuse just a reality. One brought on in part by a former A.D. not taking care of business.

I said it early on..... fingers can be pointed in a lot of directions from the head coach on down. Lots of pieces to get this puzzle fixed but I'm confident it will happen.

That is very true. Robe has been in the construction business, through no fault of his own, and it shows on the field.
