    Doesn't matter what I Think.

It matters what Maggard and Robe thinks.

I will be there again next season, but I won't allow myself to get excited about the signees we bring in and lower my expectations.
Basketball is a prime example of the accuracy of this post. We have had five winning seasons in a row. However they were preceeded by 8 consecutive seasons of 0.500 play or less in D1 games. Hundreds of people stopped following the program in that period and they don't come back unless "special" things occur. Add that to the world of today in which the major schools are trying to eliminate at large bids for mid majors and you find yourself with only casual interest. Baseball wise, nothing can kill interest more than teams that are weak at the plate. The last two games of the season did leave a bad taste in the mouth of some. Still, it was a winning season and I suspect most will continue support next season. Even if a few season tickets are dropped, many will still attend on a game by game basis. I trust the staff knows they have a challenge and have a plan to improve things going forward. I also trust returning players will work extra hard so as to not have the taste they have now from being here at this time next year.

Absolutely correct. I've said in the past, It's great to be happy about your program, it's Good to be mad about things being crappy, but it's truly the worst outcome when fans stop caring, and repetitive poor outcomes in any aspect without addressing it is how you build apathy and kill fanbases.

Next year is critical. Robe's playing with fire if he doesn't realize it. I'm betting Maggard does.

Robe wants to go to Omaha, wants a national championship. He’ll do whatever he needs to do to fix things. The only question is does he actually know what’s wrong. Often brilliant people get too close to see.

I sure don’t know what’s the problem, I just deal with results. The results haven’t been good for a while.

Robe just signed a new 5 year contract earlier this year. Why would he be looking at retirement?

Robe has never missed regionals more than 2 years in a row. Next year would be the first.

He may not be looking at retirement but it IS time for ROBICHAUX AND BABINEAUX TO GO!!! Too much has transpired in the last 2 seasons, from the funny $$$ to put someone's name on the park, to lack of desire by the players to put forth any effort at times on the field, to a complete failure of the pitching staff as directed by tony himself!!!
