Could be because Dr. Maggard is out of town the last two weeks? I bet they have a press release next week. Just a hunch.
To an outsider, it would appear that we made no change with the hitting coach that had his team in the bottom 10% of statistical categories.
To some season ticket holders I speak with, they are of the opinion that no change has been made and won’t renew if something isn’t said about it.
Guess we shouldn’t announce any coaching changes for any sport. Doesn’t matter, right?
It SCREAMS come to the games, give us your money, sit on your hands, shut up and show no further interest in the program.Originally Posted by crazycajun

Did i miss the renewal notice? He is here, he is the new hitting coach. Who cares if there hasnt been an announcement yet? There is obviously a reason, let me guess you expect a press conference for the reason. The players are away at summerball. He can’t work with them anyway.
Until the university confirms it, is Wells or JT the hitting coach? We all think we have someone that tells us the truth about it. But there’s only a small handful of people who know the truth and they don’t post here. Everything said to you, me, posted here, etc is hearsay.
Also, you didn’t answer my question. Why should there be an announcement for any coaching hire? Just let everyone guess until we see who’s on the field, right?
Wrong, nobody’s imagination will be effected until they get the renewal letter in the mail. There is baseball movement daily all over the country right now. It’s not like this is abnormal. If they have a reason for not announcing it yet that none of us know or understand the only immaginatiom running is yours. The guy has reached out to players, he was seen in Lafayette with a Cajuns shirt on and another coach, everyone I’ve spoken with said it was him. They just haven’t announced it yet. At this point i wouldn’t doubt if Maggard is doing it on purpose for shts and giggles. I would
